Air Products' Sustainability Expectations of its Suppliers

Air Products wants to do business with companies that share our concern for sustainability through environmental stewardship, social and corporate responsibility, and providing innovative solutions for the markets we serve. Below are our expectations of our suppliers.

Suppliers who share Air Products' concern for sustainability is a key factor in doing business with us.

Adhere to our Code of Conduct. While specifically written for Company employees and Board members, the Code also applies to our agents, consultants, contractors, distributors, joint venture partners, and other third parties, including suppliers, with whom we have business relationships. Key areas of the Code of Conduct that are particularly relevant to suppliers include:
  • Business Ethics, including conflicts of interest, fraud, bribery, and corruption
  • Financial Accounting and Accuracy
  • Competition and Fair Dealing
  • Import/Export Laws
  • Confidential Information
  • Equal Opportunity and Protection Against Harassment
  • Environment, Health, Safety, and Security
  • Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, which includes management of environmental and social impacts

Support a collaborative approach to developing new, competitive and sustainable offerings, particularly products that improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental emissions.

Consider developing environmental sustainability programs for operations and supply chains that support the conservation of resources, including energy and water, and reduce waste and emissions, particularly greenhouse gases.

Treat employees with respect and in accordance with our Human Rights Policy that covers Diversity and Equal Opportunity, Harassment-Free Workplaces, Freedom of Engagement, Forced and Child Labor, Conflict Minerals, Compensation and Working Time, Environmental Health, Safety, and Security, and Anti-corruption.

Comply with our Terms and Conditions, as well as our statements and policies on combating forced labor, including but not limited to Conflict Minerals, the UK Modern Slavery Act and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the countries in which these apply.

Evaluate opportunities to support local communities in which the supplier has operations and where employees and their families live and work.
