Plasma Cutting, Welding and Hardfacing/Cladding
A versatile process used within many metal fabrication environments
A variety of plasma machines exist, ranging from hand-held units for cutting or separate units for welding. Larger machines are installed in fabrication workshops allowing users to cut larger sheets of metal which are controlled by compute numeric control (CNC) programs.
Air Products supplies mixtures of 20% or 35% hydrogen in argon with nitrogen or air assist gas for the plasma cutting market.
